Travel

Getting Here

Two airports serve the island. Savannah/Hilton Head International (SAV) sits 45 minutes away and offers the widest flight selection. Hilton Head Island Airport (HHH) lands you right on the island, just minutes from the wedding venue — both American and United fly direct from Chicago.

Uber and Lyft serve both airports. Note that ride-share availability at SAV can thin out after 10:00 pm — if you're arriving late, we recommend pre-booking an Uber/Lyft or renting a car.

Getting Around

Rideshare services operate on the island. Several local taxi companies are also available. Bicycles are a beloved and practical option if you're staying nearby.

Wedding Day Shuttles

We will have a trolley running between The Westin Resort & Spa and the ceremony & reception venues. Schedule and pickup details will be shared in your welcome bag.

The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa

We've reserved a block of rooms at a preferred rate for our guests. The Westin sits directly on the beach and is minutes from the ceremony venue — we can't think of a better place to wake up the morning after.

Reserve Your Room

Reach out if the room block is full or you'd simply prefer an ocean view. Mandy is a travel advisor and can book your stay with added perks — complimentary daily breakfast, flexible check-in, and priority room upgrades.

Registry

Your presence is the greatest gift. If you'd like to give something, we're registered at the following places.

Things to Do

Hilton Head is more than a backdrop — it's a destination. Here are a few of our favorite ways to spend a couple extra days on the island. We've also included a full travel guide so you can make the most of your trip.

Harbour Town

Home to Harbour Town Golf Links — host of the PGA's RBC Heritage each spring. Climb the iconic red-and-white lighthouse for panoramic views of Calibogue Sound, then settle in at the Quarterdeck for a drink on the water.

Golf & Shop

Tiki Hut at Coligny Beach

Our personal go-to on the island. Head to Coligny Beach Park — the island's main public beach — grab a piña colada at the Tiki Hut, and stake out a spot in the sand. Live music plays daily, and the crowd is exactly what a beach bar crowd should be.

Drinks & Live Music

Rent Bikes & Explore

Hilton Head has over 60 miles of dedicated bike paths — the best way to actually experience the island beyond your resort. Rent from any number of local outfitters. The ride from Coligny to the Sea Pines Forest Preserve is particularly worth the effort.

Outdoor & Active

Kayaking the Creeks

Paddle through the island's tidal marshes with Outside Hilton Head — dolphin sightings are nearly guaranteed. An early morning or sunset paddle makes for one of the most distinctly Lowcountry experiences you'll find anywhere.

FAQ

What is the dress code?

Semi-formal attire is perfect. We suggest a floor-length, midi, or knee-length dress for women and a suit or sport coat with dress pants for men. We'll have flip-flops ready for dancing or for anyone who wants to take a stroll on the beach!

Are children welcome?

We love your little ones, but this is an adult-only celebration. We hope this gives you a wonderful excuse for a grown-up getaway — the island is perfect for it.

Is there parking at the venue?

Yes — complimentary parking is available on-site at both the Golf Club & Beach House. We also encourage guests to take our trolley from The Westin Resort to avoid the end-of-night drive entirely. Note that parking at The Westin is available to resort guests only.

Is transportation provided?

Transportation will be provided to/from The Westin Resort for all wedding day events. The first pick-up will be promptly at 2:30pm — please see the schedule in your welcome bag for more details.

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors, weather permitting. Dinner and dancing will be indoors. We'll be catching the ocean breeze, so a light wrap might be nice once the sun goes down.

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

We're having an unplugged ceremony. We ask that all phones and cameras remain put away so everyone can be fully present. Our photographer will capture every moment beautifully — we promise to share.

Will there be vegetarian or dietary options?

Absolutely. Please note any dietary restrictions or allergies on your RSVP card. We want every guest to eat well and feel cared for.

When should I RSVP?

No need to rush your RSVP if you're planning to join us — formal invitations with details to follow. However, given the intimate size of our celebration, if you know you won't be able to make it, we'd appreciate hearing from you sooner so we can plan accordingly.
